Construction application with extruded plastic profiles

Civil engineering

Under heavy loads such as stretching or crushing, extruded plastic profiles are in their element. For civil engineering, Heller Kunststoffe manufactures plug-in, joint and sealing profiles for expansion joints, edging profiles for roof ventilation and tubes in special shapes such as oval.

Five profiles, one joint

For expansion joints and adjacent construction tasks we supply coordinated profiles. All five come from real customer projects.

FAQ: Civil engineering profiles

Which profiles does Heller manufacture for civil engineering?

Documented applications are plug-in, joint and sealing profiles for expansion joints, edging profiles for roof ventilation and oval tubes. Further construction profiles are made to your drawing.

What do expansion joint profiles have to achieve?

Expansion joints work: components expand, contract and shift against each other. The profiles must follow that movement permanently without tearing or migrating out of the joint.

Are special cross-sections like oval tubes possible?

Yes. Besides open profiles we extrude hollow sections and tubes in special shapes, each with a dedicated tool from our in-house toolmaking.

In which lengths are profiles delivered?

As fixed lengths, with mitre cuts on request, or as rolls, depending on how you process on site or in the factory.

Your joint, our profile.

Send us a drawing, a sample or simply the installation situation. We will get back to you with an initial technical assessment.
