Frequently asked questions
Does Heller manufacture small series?
Yes. We manufacture plastic profiles to your specifications even in very small quantities. Whether dedicated tooling pays off for your volume is settled in the first conversation; the cost drivers are explained in our article on extrusion tooling costs.
Which materials does Heller process?
On our 20 extrusion lines we process PVC-U, PVC-P, PP, ABS, HD-PE, LD-PE, PA, TPU, TPV, TPS and EVA, including dual-hardness co-extrusion in a single profile. Our material comparison is a good starting point.
My industry is not listed. Can I still enquire?
Absolutely. The ten industries show focus areas, not limits: extruded profiles, hoses and round cords from Heller serve almost any application. Simply send your enquiry with a sketch or sample.
Do I get a sample before series production?
Yes. After the extrusion tool is completed you receive samples for trials and tests. Series production starts only after your approval. The process is described on the toolmaking page.
